Sky is the founder and Executive Director of the Video Consortium. Previously, she was an award-winning journalist at NBC News, where she produced documentaries and news segments across digital, broadcast, and streaming verticals. Before that, she was the Senior Producer, Video at The New Yorker, where she created and commissioned the magazine’s first short films, series, and video supplements for print features. Forbes Magazine named Sky a “30 under 30” media entrepreneur and DOC NYC, America’s largest documentary festival, selected her as a Documentary “New Leader.” Her work has been honored by Pictures of the Year International, the Society of Publication Designers, PDN Photo Annual, the Webby Awards, the James Beard Foundation, The New York Press Club, The Newswomen’s Club of New York, many film festivals, and multiple Vimeo Staff Picks. She’s judged and spoken at journalism workshops and documentary festivals around the globe. She graduated cum laude from Northwestern University. Show Less

Kat is a documentary producer, filmmaker and writer who endeavors to tell engaging, quirky, and insightful stories. Her first feature documentary, THIS IS HOW I ROLL, takes viewers through the hip-checking and emotional journey of the rise of modern men's roller derby. Her writing has appeared on Narratively, Atlas Obscura, and in Bandwagon, the journal of the Circus Historical Society. Before joining The Video Consortium she was the Chief Creative Officer at Fork Films and prior to that she was the Director of Grantmaking for Fork, where she developed, implemented and managed Fork Films' documentary film grants program.
