Originally from Vail, Colorado, Daniel attended film school at University of Colorado, Boulder before moving to Brooklyn in 2005 and working across production and post in film, television, and advertising. In 2011, he moved to Los Angeles where he began his career in the camera department. He met his wife, Lou, and they embarked on a year of wandering in their pickup truck before settling in Beacon, NY where Daniel became Vice Media’s staff Director of Photography for the Digital department. As he worked to visually elevate Vice’s documentaries, he simultaneously began to take on scripted long-form and short-form projects. Daniel and Lou returned to Los Angeles in 2019 where they now work in film, television, and short-form content.
