The New Indigo Wave

  • Directed & Produced by: Karla Claudio

Logline

Zapotec and Zoque residents of Oaxacan town Niltepec process blue indigo pigment from the jiquilite plant (Indigofera suffruticosa). Despite the challenges of climate change and the lack of government support, locals are choosing to rescue this ancient tradition, in what we hope turns out to be The New Indigo Wave.
